Every peptide, ranked by the evidence behind it

All 89 compounds in the library ordered by how much human evidence stands behind them — the published 1-5 rating, whether a regulator has reviewed the data, and how many of the claimed benefits are carried by strong human studies. The arithmetic is below the table and the score is computed from each monograph, so nothing here is an editorial opinion about what deserves to be near the top.

A rank is a statement about evidence, not advice. Position here is calculated from the published evidence rating, regulatory standing and documented risks on each monograph. It says nothing about whether a compound is appropriate for you, and several of the best-evidenced entries are prescription medicines that carry serious warnings. Nothing on this page is a recommendation, and no page on this site states a dose.

The shape of this table is the point. The top is almost entirely approved medicines that went through trials measuring things like heart attacks, fractures and deaths. The bottom is where most of the compounds people actually ask about live: sold under a research-use-only label, with a mechanism, an animal literature and no human study to their name. Both halves are on the same scale, which is the comparison the marketing never makes.

How this score is calculated
Evidence rating15 points each, up to 75 The published 1-5 rating, multiplied by fifteen. This is most of the score, because it is the thing the whole site is built to assess.
Regulatory standingFDA Approved 12 · Limited Approval 7 · In Clinical Trials 4 · Cosmetic Ingredient 2 Approval by a major regulator means an agency has reviewed the trial data and agreed. Approval elsewhere, or an active registered trial, counts for less. A research-use-only label counts for nothing.
Well-supported benefit claims2 points each, up to 10 Two points for each benefit on the monograph carried by strong human evidence, up to five of them. A long list of weakly-supported claims adds nothing here.
Hard clinical endpointsup to 3 Three points where a well-supported claim rests on something that happened to a patient — a death, a fracture, a heart attack, a transplant, a remission — rather than on a number that moved in a blood test. This is the site's published tie-breaker between two drugs that both have strong trials.

The components sum to one hundred, and reaching it requires every one of them: a top evidence rating, approval by a major regulator, five benefit claims carried by strong human trials, and at least one of those trials measuring something that happened to a patient. The score deliberately ignores how promising a compound sounds, how many papers exist and how popular it is — a large animal literature from one laboratory moves nothing here. Read the evidence scale for what each of the five tiers requires.

Ranked 89 of 89 compounds. Scores recalculate whenever a monograph changes, so this order is not frozen — a compound that reports a trial moves up on its own. The companion table is the risk ranking, and the two are meant to be read together.
