How it works
The KTTKS sequence is a subfragment of type I procollagen. Applied topically it acts as a feedback signal stimulating fibroblast synthesis of collagen I, collagen III, fibronectin and glycosaminoglycans. Palmitoylation greatly increases lipophilicity and stratum corneum penetration.
